Do I Need to Do Anything Before My Visit?

Please arrive promptly at the time we have reserved for you.

Wear comfortable clothing.

Eat a light breakfast and lunch prior to the procedure.

Avoid alcohol and medications that cause drowsiness unless approved by the doctor.

Take daily medications as usual unless instructed otherwise by your doctor.

Get your prescriptions filled prior to the day of surgery so you may go directly home following the procedure.

Your payment is due at the time of the procedure.

Smoking will have an adverse effect and may cause complications with the surgical procedure. It is important that no tobacco products be used for at least 2 weeks following the surgery.

Please advise the doctor if you are taking any of the following:

  • Coumadin
  • Plavix
  • Aspirin
  • Vitamin E
  • Folic Acid
  • St. John?s Wort
  • Fish Oil
  • Dong Quai
  • Feverfew
  • Ginseng

When you arrive for the Procedure

Visit the restroom prior to checking in with the receptionist.

You will be scheduled for a suture removal appointment.

The doctor will administer local anesthetic to numb the area of teeth.

During The Procedure

The procedure will likely take approximately 2 hours.

You will be awake and able to respond.
